About Beyond The Cubicle
For too long, corporate spaces have been structured around norms that don’t account for the experiences of women of color. Navigating these environments often feels like walking on a tightrope– balancing between career ambition and the pressure to conform to workplace cultures that don’t truly reflect who you are. Many women of color feel isolated, misunderstood, and undervalued, struggling to find a path that lets them excel without sacrificing their authenticity.

Victoria, our Founder, knows this experience all too well. She faced the daily challenges of being the only woman of color in the room, constantly having to prove herself, yet feeling unseen. Despite excelling at her work, she was repeatedly overlooked, scrutinized, and pushed to conform to expectations that didn’t align with her true self. In her search for guidance, she realized there were few, if any, conversations happening that addressed these struggles authentically. Most advice encouraged women of color to play “the corporate game” or pursue entrepreneurship, rather than offering real strategies to thrive within corporate spaces. The frustration and isolation were overwhelming, but leaving wasn’t the answer. Victoria realized she wasn’t alone–women of color everywhere were navigating the same unspoken struggles in silence, playing a game that wasn’t built for them. That’s why Beyond The Cubicle was born. It was created to empower women of color to rise in their careers without compromising their identities.
